Illegal Immigrant Hotels
Illegal Immigrant Hotels
In the article Illegal Immigrants - The Invasion we discussed a number of hotels that illegal immigrants / asylum-seekers / refugees [call them what you will] have been staying in UK hotels in 2020. The number of hotels grew steadily from the one identified by Nigel Farage to several thanks to the efforts of people on social media bringing them to my attention and the attention of others. This list has now grown to such an extent it demands its own page!
Below, I've summarised the hotels currently known to be housing illegal immigrants. Bear in mind that the list will not be complete and since the Home Office is not forthcoming with such data then there maybe errors. However, those providing lists of known hotels have been careful so as to not make wild claims and I am pretty confident that the listed hotels provides a pretty accurate summary.
It must be pointed out that the Home Office is secretive about naming hotels were illegal immigrants are staying. Many council members and members of the public have complained about this secretive practice because they rightly feel their safety is being put at risk, and yet it continues. An example of this can be found here.
It was stated back in July 2020 that illegal immigrants are being housed in 53 hotels across the UK; yes, that is 53 and not a typo.
I have identified 57 so far! Here we go ...

Ibis Budget Hotel, Glasgow [States on website that still closed due to COVID-19 but housing illegals]
Mercure Glasgow City Hotel, Ingram Street, Glasgow [States on website that still closed due to COVID-19 but housing illegals]
Closed Due To COVID-19
The screenshot below was taken on the 13th of August 2020 from Mercure's own website for their hotel on Ingram Street in Glasgow city centre. It states that the hotel was closed until the 31st of October. They also state:
"We cannot wait to welcome you back to the hotel for your next break."
Here's the funny thing. Several people have reported seeing what appeared to be foreign nationals entering and leaving the hotel before the re-opening date of November. How can that be?
I'm also confused as to why the hotel was closed in August and right through to November because hotels were allowed to reopen from the 4th of July. You'd think that having being forced to close from the 23rd of March that they'd be desperate to reopen on the 4th of July, but clearly not. They must not have needed the money, which is unusual for a business. Another strange thing is how staff were gradually weaned off the furlough scheme from July and yet the hotel remained closed - makes you wonder how the staff paid the bills. It's clearly a funny old business is hotel management.
Try Making a Booking !
Let's take a case in point - that of the Britannia Hotel in Birmingham City Centre. Now head over to Booking.com. Search for "Britannia Hotel Birmingham New Street Station Birmingham". Select a future date and try and make a booking. You won't be able to! But this hotel is open for illegal immigrants.
Just think how this is impacting UK business.
Placing illegal immigrants in hotels is not a new thing, and don't be fooled into believing it was a necessity for isolating illegal immigrants due to the 2020 COVID-19 outbreak. The Home Office has been placing illegal immigrants in hotels for years; for further details checkout Illegal Immigrants in Hotels - A trackrecord.
Mention must be made that UKGov is also placing illegals in non-hotels. Until a separate page is setup to handle this, I'd like to bring the following to the reader's attention:
RAF Coltishall, Norfolk
"A former RAF base in Norfolk is being used to provide temporary housing for asylum seekers who have fled war-torn countries. ...". For further details refer to: Former Norfolk RAF base used to temporarily house asylum seekers, Eastern Daily Press, 22nd of April 2020.
Oakwood House, Maidstone, Kent
Oakwood House in Maidstone is owned by Kent County Council and used to house 40 asylum "children". Typically available to rent for conferences and events it was acquired by the Home Office to house illegals. For further details refer to: Unaccompanied asylum seeking children looked after at Oakwood House in Maidstone owned by Kent County Council, Kent Online, 24th of April 2020.
A comprehensive article by the Daily Mail on the Park Inn, Glasgow stabbings by the Sudanese illegal immigrant Badreddin Abadlla Adam Bosh . Apparently, he stabbed 6 innocent people because he was very hungry and being forced to live in poor conditions!
