Illegal immigrants in Hotels - A Trackrecord

Illegal immigrants in Hotels - A Trackrecord

August 2020

After compiling the list of hotels being used by illegal immigrants in 2020 - Illegal Immigrants in Hotels - it started to dawn on me that this is not a new thing and has in fact been going on for years. Below I provide a list of articles showing UKGov's trackrecord on this dodgy practice.

Note the comment for the Novotel hotel in Coventry:

"A Coventry hotel is among dozens nationally that are being used by the Home Office to accommodate asylum seekers during the coronavirus outbreak. ..."

He now know this was basically a lie because illegal immigrants have been placed in hotels for years before COVID-19 appeared on the scene.

The placing of illegal immigrants into hotels is morally bankrupt on so many levels. What sort of government places such people in hotels?

A big thanks to UNKNOWN for digging out many of these mainstream news articles.

Hold on a minute! Date of article August - 8 months takes us back to January 2020. Didn't UKGov and the Home Office say that illegals were being placed in hotels due to COVID-19, which broke out in March? I'm confused.

Royal Hotel in Hull, England

Up to 50 hotels across Britain benefit from £4billion ten-year contract to house asylum seekers , Daily Mail, 15th of August 2020.

Discusses illegals being housed at the Royal Hotel in Hull city centre and Novotel at Newcastle Airport.

The article states: "... hotels are only ever a 'temporary measure' ...". This is a lie because the above article details an illegal being housed in a hotel for 8 months.

It also states: "The UK has a statutory obligation to provide destitute asylum seekers with accommodation and support ...". This is another lie due to the Dublin Convention since they arrived from safe countries.

Rivenhall Hotel, Witham, England

And now for something completely different! This time I thought I'd include a video from Nigel Farage exposing illegals being housed in the Rivenhall hotel in Witham in the East of England. Their website clearly stated on the 16th of August:
