I'm Not a Racist but ...

I'm Not a Racist but ...

July 2020

I'm not a racist but I couldn't care less about the Black tradition of ironing the breasts of young girls.

You can call me a racist if you like but Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) by Muslims just doesn't do it for me.

And Male Genital Mutilation (MGM) or circumcision as they prefer to call it, again doesn't do it for me. Neither does baptising a defenceless baby - I believe in freewill and letting an adult decide such things for themselves.

I've heard some races are into arranged marriages but I prefer a relationship formed on love and old-fashioned courtship.

Child brides with girls as young as 9 and 12 isn't my thing but I gather some races of people are really into that sort of thing.

In my book and the law, sexual intercourse with someone under the age of 16 who is young, innocent and vulnerable just doesn't turn me on like it does with other races of people around the world. I respect women's rights and the rights of minors and treat women and girls as equals. You can call me racist for having such views, but that's your prerogative.

I had never heard of the gang rape of non-Muslims before I learnt of your race, and it's not for me because rape is not about sex but instead the humiliation of another human being.

Call me racist if you must but shaming another human being and honour crimes of throwing acid in another person's face just isn't for me.

I gather that some races treat women as second class citizens and insist they cover themselves up when out in public. It's not a race issue with me, but I believe that women should be free to wear what they like and not be tied down by some age old religious gobbledegook traditions.

And you know what - stoning women to death for adultery when the men who also commit adultery escape being stoned to death, it's simply not my thing.

Label me racist if you must, but I am not. It is simply that your culture does not interest me.
