A question: How many times does the film Taken have to be shown on Film4?

I wouldn't mind but it's one of the corniest films ever made. The opening scenes in which Liam Neeson's character (Bryan Mills) pays a visit to his daughter's, Kim, birthday party are some of the corniest of the film. His ex-wife, Lenore, says that he shouldn't have arrived as he wasn't invited. Then that his present (a karaoke machine - there was a previous corny scene when he bought the thing in a shop with an Indian shop assistant) should be placed on the presents pile and not handed to his daughter in person. Next, he takes out his camera to which his ex-wife replies that there is no need as they have a professional photographer. And so on - who writes this crap? But, the classic occurs just a few moments later when in strides a horse - yes, a fully grown horse - at which point point Kim ditches the karaoke machine for the thing on 4 legs. The scene ends with Bryan (aka Liam) gazing down at the cheap karaoke machine.

I don't know if it was intended as comedy, but I'm in stitches every time I see it repeated each week on Film4.

Now that's a film review!
