Calls to Vaccinate Pregnant Women

Calls to Vaccinate Pregnant Women with COVID-19 Vaccines that Were Never Tested on Pregnant Women

Sometimes I struggle to comprehend what I read:

Fifth of critically ill Covid patients are unvaccinated pregnant women, The Telegraph, 11th of October 2021.

The above article states:

"A fifth of all critically ill Covid patients are unvaccinated pregnant women, new data reveal, with health bosses urging them to get their jabs.... "

But let's remind ourselves that the vaccines were not tested on 1) Pregnant women, 2) <16s and 3) allergy sufferers.

Now they want to vaccinate pregnant women because 20% of ICU patients are pregnant women.

Just to emphasise the point: medical professionals want to vaccinate ALL pregnant women with a vaccine that was never tested on pregnant women.

You could not make it up!

Where is the Risk Benefit Case?

Of the millions of pregnant women, some will contract COVID-19, some of which won't know they have it, some will suffer mild symptoms, some more severe symptoms, and some will end up in ICU. Of the small percentage that end up in ICU, 20% of those are pregnant women. That means that 80% are not pregnant. If it was 50% were pregnant they'd have a stronger case, and if it was 80% were pregnant, an even stronger case but it is 20%. They want to vaccinate ALL pregnant women with a vaccine that was not tested on pregnant women because of a small percentage of women who find themselves in ICU. There is no case.

Let's try and put some back of the postcard numbers to this. In 2018 there were around 840,000 pregnancies in England and Wales. Including Scotland and Northern Ireland, let's assume the total number of pregnancies is of the order of 1 million/year and also assume the pregnancy term extends over a period of 12 months rather than 9, so that at any given time there are around 1 million pregnant women in the UK. The occupied NHS beds data for September 2021 showed there were a total of 897 beds in English hospitals occupied by confirmed COVID-19 patients. Let's round that up to 1,000 for the whole UK. All of these beds will not be in ICU, but let's be generous and assume they were. Now, they tell us that 20% of these beds are for pregnant women, and so we have ~200 pregnant women in hospital ICUs at any given time with COVID-19. Relative to our ~1 million pregnant women at any given time we see that (200/1,000,000)*100 = 0.02% of pregnant women find themselves in ICU because of COVID-19. In other words, 99.98% of pregnant women do not.

And yet, UKGov health officials are calling to vaccinate ALL pregnant women with a vaccine that was never tested on them when 99.98% of the women will be unaffected. I'll say it again - there is no case.

The recurring theme here (as with all government information) is that it is never presented in such a way as previously outlined. Instead, ALL pregnant women and EVERYONE must be vaccinated. They never present a balanced and well formed case that considers both sides of the argument. This is why myself and many others distrust their advice because it is always a highly simplistic blanket policy.

The Vaccine Flaw

To emphasise - it is the same recurring theme across the board:

99.9% of adults are healthy and in no need of a vaccine, and yet vaccinate them all.

99.9% of children are healthy and in no need of a vaccine, and yet vaccinate them all.

99.9% of pregnant women are healthy and in no need of a vaccine, and yet vaccinate them all.

This is why, as a rule, there is in fact no case, or a very weak one, for mass vaccination. The underlying philosophy is to vaccinate the healthy majority in order to protect them from the infected minority. It's an upside logic and akin with modern day vocal minority political parties setting the agenda for the silent majority. And as with the political system, what is required is for the majority to speak up say "No - sort out the minority and leave us alone". What is required is to focus on the ill and infected minority and not the healthy majority.

This is why vaccination is a topsy turvy approach to preventative medicine.

Primum Non Nocere

One of the governing doctrines of all healthcare is the Latin phrase Primum Non Nocere, which means "first, do no harm". All doctors and nurses are (or should) be taught the importance of this simple but yet powerful moral code. As the Wikipedia page on the phrase states, expressed a different way: "given an existing problem, it may be better not to do something, or even to do nothing, than to risk causing more harm than good".

I truly believe that with regards to the calls to vaccinate all pregnant women that the entire system of healthcare and government advisors ignored this guiding principle. As of October 2021 there was insufficient evidence and empirical data to support a sufficiently strong case that the vaccination of millions of pregnant women outweighed the possible loss of life of a few pregnant women. I'll say it again - such an enforcement and encouragement of an approach is nothing more than reckless. Until COVID-19 vaccines have been out there in the wild for, say, 5 years or more then analyse the data and make an informed decision as to whether doing something is better than doing nothing.

Lest We Forget the Thalidomide Children

The Thalidomide Children will always serve as a stark warning of the dangers of tampering with experimental drugs and pregnant women.

One Death - Vaccinate All

They just don't let up! On the 7th of November 2021, the Big Black Cock (BBC) published the article:

Vaccine appeal to pregnant women after mum dies of Covid, BBC News, 7th of November 2021.

One pregnant woman dies, and so now vaccinate all ~900,000. Unbelievable.

It's like saying a man dies from using gym equipment and so shutdown all gyms immediately. Or, a child gets run over by a car and so ground all cars.
