WokeWorld - it sounds like some some sort Disney theme park you'd pay a visit to at the weekend. But it isn't - it is the world we are currently living through. Not a place that the kids drag you to, you burn some hard earned, fill the camera with photos you'll rarely look at again, make yourself feel sick on the rides, and then return home and get on with your life. No, WokeWorld is very real and increasingly a place from which there is no escape.
Elsewhere I've highlighted Snowflake UK in which students were passing out in the examination room after being asked a question about food. Then there were "people" who thought they were going to have a mental illness induced from being asked to complete a survey that asked how fat or thin you think you are; Woke and the BBC.
Aldous Huxley was very wrong when he coined the phrase Brave New World. If he wrote that book today I can seriously imagine the title being WokeWorld.
And to my point for this short article. What we are currently living through was first the wokery of infection and now the wokery of vaccinations. It's as though the world was primed ready with PC-ness, snowflakery, woke and all of the other modern day descriptions of the nonsense we've been living through for the past 10-20 years. For me the approach to the outbreak and now vaccination taps into this psyche.
We've had countless annual flu outbreaks before, some of which were serious outbreaks. Back then it was treated as the annual outbreak and get on with it. I'm convinced that 50 years ago, 20 years and maybe even 10 years ago you would never have gotten away with what they done to our way of life. But now we have politicians, government officials, teachers, etc actually apologising for making reference to food in an exam question. Teachers being reprimanded and sacked from jobs for referring to a classroom of children as "boys and girls", and all the other modern day bullshit. Without doubt, lockdowns, social-distancing, face nappies and mass-vaccinations could only exist in WokeWorld.
