Woman of the Year
Woman of the Year - 2015
In October 2015, Caitlyn Jenner (aka born William Bruce Jenner, October 28, 1949) was voted one of Glamour magazine's women of the year:
Caitlyn Jenner Named One of Glamour’s Women of the Year: “I Need to Tell This Story on the Highest Level”, US Magazine, 9th of October 2021.
Old news for some, but I only recently came across this and had to make a note of it for my own records.
You can read all about Caitlyn Jenner on his/her Wikipedia page. He/she was born a male of the species and went by the name of William Bruce Jenner. He/she was then a sports athlete and had some success in the men's decathlon, not the women's decathlon. The picture below shows him/her on the cover of a box of cereal.
In 2015 (aged 66) William Bruce Jenner said he believed (or wanted to believe) he was no longer a man but now a woman, and would like to be referred to as Caitlyn Jenner from now on.
Fare enough, but William/Caitlyn is not a real woman since he/she will always have the X/Y chromosomes of a man, he/she does not have a cervix and unable to have periods and give birth to a baby, and so on. And yet to be voted "woman of the year" is simply ridiculous and an affront to real women. Transgender woman of the year maybe, but woman of the year!
