JK Rowling Cancelled for Stating Biological Truths
JK Rowling Cancelled for Stating Biological Truths
I see that the attack on JK Rowling continues:
Whatever you think of JK Rowling she has the right to speak freely. If she hasn't then give up now and crawl under a stone because the human race is finished.
If you actually take the time to read what she has previously written on the subject of transgender issues, she is always very reserved and I have not read anything yet that I have found offensive.
But to then continue to cancel her is nothing more than childish and displaying a compete intolerance for an alternative point of view. But that's the world we now live in - one in which free-speech and open debate is no longer allowed.
It's a contradiction when you think about it. The Trans-lot want a platform of free-speech and freedom of expression when it comes to their cause but want to shutdown the free-speech and freedom of expression of others.
Hilarious! - The Trash that is the Guardian Newspaper
I hate the Guardian newspaper for what it has come to represent. Well, they recently got caught with their pants down when they ran a "Person of the Year" survey towards the end of 2021:
Guardian readers back JK Rowling after trans row, Spectator, 2nd of January 2022.
J.K. Rowling tops ‘Person of the Year’ award poll — and it’s quickly closed, We Got This Covered, 28th of December 2022.
When the Guardian realised that JK Rowling was going to be nominated as the winner they simply pulled the survey!
See what I mean about not being prepared to have an open debate. If you run a survey and the result doesn't come back as You Wanted, then you simply delete it! It sums up their mindset - one that is completely intolerant to other views.
A Transgender Minority Are Vindicating JK Rowling
It's ironic that a minority of the transgender movement that are continually attacking JK Rowling are in a way vindicating her.
She has her point of view and it should be respected. However, she does not make any attempts to cancel the transgender community. Thus, they are in fact doing themselves a great disservice.
JK Rowling's Achievements
Let's not forget what JK Rowling has done for women's rights. She is known throughout the world and actually a great ambassador for the UK and women. Just look at her contribution to children's literature; more than 500 million Harry Potter books in 80 languages making her one of the best selling authors of all time. She really did gets kids back into reading when her Potter books first hit the shelves. I will never forget scenes of children queuing round the block to get their hands on the latest issue. Rowling is also a great supporter of several charities.
I for one will not let her legacy to be trashed by a few individuals who will not tolerate an alternative point of view.
Burn Her Books
I do believe that there are certain members of the transgender movement that if they had their way would order the burning of all JK Rowling's books and wiping her name from history. This is effectively an element of the cancel culture. This is incredibly dangerous and reminds me of the Nazis burning books in their attempt to rewrite German history. Is this what they want? You begin by attacking her. You remove her name from credits in books, plays and films. Next you have her Twitter account deleted. You end up by burning her books.
Triggering of Harry Potter Books
I found it hilarious how an English academic, Dr Richard Leahy, at Chester University stated to course students that the Harry Potter books were given a warning in relation to "difficult conversations about gender, race, sexuality, class, and identity":
Harry Potter book given trigger warning by British uni after JK Rowling trans row, GB News, 27th of January 2022.
Really! Imagine the books were written Mr X would they then receive the same warning? I suspect not and thus we see that the warning does not relate to the books but the author. This is so wrong on so many levels. It's an inverse scenario of how Oscar Wilde was tried on the content of his books.
The harassment of JK Rowling is truly hideous and helps provide an insight into the sick minds of the people harassing her. Take this article for example, which comes straight from the New York Times newspaper:
NYT under fire for 'chilling' advert saying its readers like to imagine Harry Potter 'without creator', New York Times, 18th of February 2022.
An advertisement campaign run by the New York Times, playing their part in the harassment of JK Rowling. Typically, an ad tries to sell something like a can of beans. In this instance, what exactly is the NYT tryig to sell?
Stating "Imagining Harry Potter without its creator" must be the most extreme forms of cancelling you could envisage. It is indirectly saying that you like the Harry Potter character and books but wish they'd been written by someone else, and maybe go as far as to claim that you wish JK Rowling had never existed. What kind of mind comes up with such sentiments? It's straight out of the horrors of 1984.
Then there were the death threats at a transgender parade in London in June 2021:
A death threat to "Kill JK Rowling" for nothing else than exercising free-speech.
In January 2022, so-called activists posted on Twitter details of where JK Rowling lives. Quite rightly, JK Rowling saw this as a direct threat to her personal safety and she contacted the police, but the good old British police force took no action:
Police take no action over tweet that revealed JK Rowling’s home, Yahoo, 17th of January 2022.
She had this to say:
“I have to assume [they] thought doxxing me would intimidate me out of speaking up for women’s sex-based rights. They should have reflected on the fact that I’ve now received so many death threats I could paper the house with them, and I haven’t stopped speaking out. Perhaps, and I’m just throwing this out there, the best way to prove your movement isn’t a threat to women, is to stop stalking, harassing and threatening us.”
Dead right - these people reflect a horrible and intolerant side of human nature.
The Morally Bankrupt Guardian
The Spectator raised the point about film critic Ryan Gilbey of the Guardian viewing physical abuse to a lesser crime than JK Rowling's free-speech comments on the Tranny agenda:
The Guardian goes for J.K. Rowling, The Spectator, 8th of April 2022.
They subsequently had to apologise for their comments, which made it past their editorial board. However, as the Spectator article points out, this rag of a paper still has no problem with the cancelling of JK Rowling for her comments. As far as they are concerned she should not be allowed to speak, and when she does it is only what they permit.
Spiked’s Chief Political Writer Brendan O’Neill perfectly sums up the attacks on Rowling.
Jon Stewart insists 'I do not think JK Rowling is antisemitic' following Harry Potter comments, Sky News, 6th of January 2022.
Attempts to take fictional characters out of Harry Potter books and in some way make out that Rowling is anti-semitic. The depths these people are prepared to go to beggars belief.
