Spain Relaxes Restrictions to Allow Tourists Into the Country

I love reading articles like this:

Spain relaxes Covid restrictions for UK teenagers, BBC News, 11th of February 2022.

because it sums up the bullshit that is COVID-19. Initially, Spain imposed requirements that children over the age of 12 visiting Spain must be double vaccinated. Then faced with a backslash by their own people of big losses of earnings from tourism the Spanish government changed their mind to allow children under the age of 18 to enter the country unvaccinated.

Now. What is it? Is COVID-19 a deadly virus or does greed and profit come first? I understand as much as anyone that things have to keep ticking over and a balance has to be struck. However, this kind of balancing of the scales has being taking place since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020 and again and again governments were seen to make decisions that were contrary to the alleged seriousness of the infection. If COVID-19 was as serious as it was made out to be then the entire world would have been shutdown and no one - but no one - permitted to move.

I keep returning to the data, which governments around the world kept reminding us for 2 years. And so here is the new cases data in Spain in February 2022 when they announced they were relaxing restrictions to line their tourism pockets:

News cases in Spain as of February 2022.

10 times more new daily cases than back in March/April 2020. I'll say it again - the data is bullshit but it's their data.
