United Kingdom of Torture

I have written elsewhere about the UK's disgraceful track record in war crimes. They spout the Geneva Convention and criticise people such as Saddam Hussein and Muammar Gadaffi, while all the time are responsible for some horrific war crimes.

Here we read of an investigation by the BBC into murders being carried out by the SAS on innocent civilians in Afghanistan:

SAS reports reveal troubling pattern of suspicious deaths in Afghanistan, BBC News, 12th of July 2022.

The article details the murder of at least 54 innocent people over a period of 6 months by a single unit.

I'm not surprised. The SAS are sent into difficult situations at times, but it has to be acknowledged that many of them are psychopaths - it's why they made it to the SAS, They joined the Army and SAS to be trained to kill people, and to carry that out. Many would feel they were failing in their duty if they didn't kill/murder people, and so many enjoy it and look forward to the opportunity of murdering people. And the Army lets them get on with it. Anyone who denies this fact is naive.

The article also touches on operation Northmoor that uncovered more than 600 war crimes offences by British forces in Afghanistan. An investigation, it adds, that was totally obstructed by the British armed forces.

No wonder the UK is hated throughout the world.
